Mission Statement:

Cover the Industry market. Target new and existing customers/opportunities for large scale industrial projects. Support the sales team in marketing and sales activities for the Hitachi Energy and represent the interests of the Hitachi Energy in Vietnam. Develop profitable and sustainable sales for the complete Power Grids Unit portfolio in Vietnam. Implement the Hitachi Energy strategies.in conjunction with Global PGGI, PGGA, PGHV & PGTR Business Unit.

Your Responsibility:

  • You will lead the implementation of Hitachi Energy strategies and initiatives at a country level to ensure appropriate sales and marketing efforts within Vietnam.  
  • You will develop, maintain professional relationship/Arrange business development meetings with prospective clients
  • You must identify new markets, provide strategic marketing/ direction/ action to meet customer’s need. Ensures the Global PGGI , PGTR,PGGA, PGHV Business Unit portfolio is appropriately represented in the local market.
  • You will manage and is responsible for the demand market & demand side budget for Power Grid Division including third party sales, internal sales, and channels. Manages and is responsible for the Power Grids Division demand-side budget of Vietnam. Ensure proper coverage in the market covering Utilities, Industries and Infrastructure & Transport segment. Develop the “Power Generation” market for PGGI in Vietnam.
  • You will develop business strategies and sales and marketing plans in partnership with local Marketing and Sales teams. Participates in the budgeting process, including preparing the Market Information (Total Market, Available Market, Offered Market, Demand Budget, etc as per Hitachi Energy MAP Tools & guidelines), representing the Global PGGI BUs.
  • You must coordinate lifecycle marketing and ensures effective execution in the local market. Coordinates and supports the factories’/supplying units’ sales and marketing activities.
  • You must ensures local sales teams are provided with necessary training and receive appropriate accreditation. Works together with Global Sales Marketing, Hub Sales & Marketing and Marketing Communication (Global, Hub & Local) for planning and implementation of marketing activities.

  • You will be in line with the sales team strategy manages and develops appropriate relationships with customers and key accounts. Serves as escalation point for questions and issues, and collects customer feedback and input.
  • You must ensure proposals are developed and approved to enable negotiations. Oversees quotations to promote optimal outcome. Ensures all status updates and documentation are accurately tracked in appropriate systems. Takes local responsibility for the Business Units mix and maintains the accuracy of data for project pipeline and orders received forecast and competitive feedback.
  • You will organize and promotes after sales service activities. Ensures appropriate order handling of products/systems/services. Ensures contracts are appropriately managed with adherence to payment terms.
  • You must ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
  • You will lead, drive and hold itself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved. Responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions monitored/followed up.  Build an injury, incident, near miss and hazard reporting culture within your team, guaranteeing reported incidents will be investigated and action taken.  Create a workplace where everyone views health, safety and environment as the most important non-negotiable value of your business.

Your background:

  • Degree in Engineering. MBA in Sales & Marketing will be added advantage. Exposure and detailed knowledge of substation & automation and practices of PLN for substations will be highly useful.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Utility/Power business with exposure to either turnkey substations or high voltage products or system integration for substations (EPCs / Service Providers). The person should be self-starter, outgoing with ability to engage, build relationships and gain trust.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, power points and presentation. Demonstrated Negotiation skills
