About the Job

Position Summary:

Hitachi Astemo Americas, Inc. Findlay, Ohio location is a Tier 1 supplier of brake systems for automotive and non-automotive applications

This position is responsible for maintenance repair and improvement activity throughout the Aluminum Machining department.   The Maintenance associates main daily activities include but are not limited to the following.

 Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment to maximize uptime

and resolve daily production electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems, and perform scheduled routine preventative maintenance.

Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts and written or verbal instructions to perform assigned tasks PLC trouble shooting project / repairs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Commitment to working safely
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Support the Production Department in order to manufacture safe, quality products
  • Be available to work weekends, overtime, and flexible shifts
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Understand and utilize Leading To Lean
  • Have the ability to attend off site training if needed

Preferred Qualifications:  Not Required

  • Associate degree in industrial electricity, power and controls, or mechanical engineering.
