Originally, our Hitachi Energy Trafoschool served as the primary development and training platform for teams working in engineering and technology. With over 290 courses and 2280 awarded credentials, we are currently the primary point of access and communication platform for the engineering and technology community. Having dedicated focus on talent, skills, and communications is essential as we continue to build the community's development. Reporting to the Trafoschool Manager in Central Europe Technology Center, you will oversee the Trafoschool competency and development area, coordinate the creation of job descriptions and skill maps for Engineering and Technology functions, and cultivate relationships with universities seeking close collaboration and alignment with Trafoschool vision (master thesis, dual masters, and internal rotation of engineers to fulfill competency gaps). Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a certified pool of trainers within the organization, you will be engaged with the strategy of Trafoschool and be responsible for communication and promotion.

Your responsibilities

  • Work with our HR Talent Team, Technology and Engineering functions to map and analyze the existing skills and identify competency gaps collaborating to create a new approach for FCAs defining framework / governance of future Skills Mapping process.
  • Ownership of FCA process in BU Technology & Engineering Function, developing connection between Skills Mapping and career path.
  • Ownership of trainer’s development within Trafoschool, organization of programs for development and improvement of trainer’s capabilities.
  • Soft skills coordinator and trainer for new programs.
  • Responsible for communication and promotion of Trafoschool activities within the community.
  • Cultivate relationships with universities seeking close collaboration and alignment with Trafoschool vision (master thesis, dual masters, and internal rotation of engineers to fulfill competency gaps).
  • Conceptual proposal of scope for Training Programs based on TrafoSchool content that follow Technology and Engineering career development path.
  • Ownership of “Our Experts” communication site. Interconnections of TrafoSchool with new skills mapping tool.
  • Interconnection of TrafoSchool catalogue with Talent Learning and Development.

Your background

  • Degree in Business Communication, Human Resources, Talent & Development, Business management or any other similar education.
  • +5 years of working experience, preferably in R&D or Engineering function.
  • Working experience with Transformers business would be an advantage. 
  • Experience with employer branding and talent acquisition.
  • Excellent abilities in teamwork in international teams with excellent interpersonal and soft skills.
  • Spirit of innovation, out of the box thinking.
  • A collaborative, structured, problem-solving, self-driven, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Coaching and mentoring.
  • Networking and creation of diverse and inclusive communities.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
