Mission statement:
Hitachi Energy uses a very high-end system for its control, protection, and monitoring. This system is called as MACH. This computerized system is built with the state-of-the-art electronics, microprocessors, and digital signal processors, connected by high performance industry standard buses and fiber optic communication links.
Your responsibilities:
- You will do preparation of STATCOM plant circuit diagram, interface diagram and manufacturing documents for MACH control and protection cubicles.
- You will do designing and executing the project in line with customer specification / FACTS standard/Global standards, NEC, ANSI, IEEE etc.
- You will do preparation of specification and Request for Proposal documents for MACH control and protection cubicles including Mach circuits boards and all other the components, cable, junction boxes, etc.
- You will do preparation of CT, VT sizing calculations.
- You will prepare plant cable schedule, LV power cable sizing calculations.
- Establishing the electrical interlock logics and Key interlocking philosophy within the STATCOM system and with others.
- You will prepare requirement specification for AC / DC systems. MCB selection, AC /DC
- board sizing, Battery, and Aux transformer sizing calculations.
- You will propose / review protection and control schemes various power system configurations.
- You will be creating work plans and cost estimates. Reviewing and approving scope, budget, and schedule for assignments, and ensuring quality deliverables.
- You will be reviewing and coordinating with vendor/supplier drawings for electrical deliverables including primary equipment.
- You will do coordination with other departments (Mechanical / Control / System Design /Construction / Commissioning).

Your background:
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Preferably knowledge on National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements.
- Experience in Control and Protection cubicle design is preferred.
- Knowledge of relay configuration is a benefit.
- Experience with E3 software is a plus.
- Knowledge of Low Voltage switchgear selection, configuration, and circuit breaker selective coordination.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment at various voltage levels, including transformers, HV/MV Switchgear, Low Voltage Switchgear, as well as AC, DC distribution boards, auxiliary transformers, etc.
- It is considered a big advantage if you have experience on STATCOM / Power Quality Solution project.
- Strong interpersonal communication skill, Fluent English.
