Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)

  • Engineering skills including knowledge of control systems, robotics, electronics, electrical test systems, optical inspection, and computer programming
  • Candidate must already have work authorization to work in the United States
  • 4-year college degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience and education
  • 3 years of related work experience with high-volume, precision assembly processes
  • Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems
  • Willing to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills to prepare and present information to all levels of associates, management, and customers both verbally and written

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)

  • 4-year university degree in electrical engineering or related field and 5 years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Expert PLC programmer, Robots (Fanuc, Motoman, Yamaha, and Mitsubishi), Weber screwdriver, Nordson Spray System, Keyence Vision, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic programming
  • Work experience within automotive industry, with emphasis in high power electronic or electronic devices Knowledge of EV components such as inverters, power modules, or control modules
  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing and principles IPC regulations
  • Ability to lead projects obtaining the support of multiple departments and organizations

Skills and Abilities

  • Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
  • Design, implement, maintain, or improve manufacturing testing instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes.
  • Confirm that equipment is installed and meets required specifications and is safe to use
  • Write, maintain, and analyze process programs within several digital environments
  • Setup testing trials/experiments for customer/internal needs including countermeasure activity
  • Confirm that all product requirements are met through online testing including daily validations
  • Develop reports, graphics, and presentations by compiling data from various sources
  • Write technical specifications for equipment procurement
  • Monitor progress, comply with quality/schedule requirements, and maintain logs and records
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment for engineering tasks
  • Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment or major repairs
  • Estimate labor, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes.
  • Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of testing and electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Provide excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Provide strong leadership interacting with all levels of associates
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Ensure all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area
  • Analyze technology, resources, market demands, and work to assess project feasibilities
  • Improve manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Coordinate and recommend cost savings and efficiency ideas
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, work independently, and make effective decisions

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No direct reports
  • Guide and support other Engineers, Interns, EIT’s, TS’s, MA’s, and TA’s

Software

  • Typical software: AB PLC, Mitsubishi PLC, Fanuc, IAI, and Motoman Robots, Atlas Copco screwdriver, Keyence Vision, Excel, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic programming
  • Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Intermediate experience with Autodesk software and CATIA

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting, standing, walking, and bending
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts and days as needed

  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
  • Full motor skills
