Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

The Director of Deployment Project Management group is responsible for the management and driving of the entire scope of the Solutions Deployment (DEP) activities across multiple project portfolios and/or city markets. In this capacity, several Deployment Project Managers or Deployment Portfolio Managers are reporting directly the Director.

Key Accountabilities:

• Define the organizational details for respective organization in effort to improve OI and customer satisfaction.
  
• Lead the DPM organization to achieve projects objectives.
  
• Align and coordinate directly with Project directors and Projects VP on projects Strategy, Governance and Execution.
  
• Ability to engage-in: Change, Configuration, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, Product, Budget, Resource, Contract/Sub-Contract, and Quality management initiatives
  
• Oversee and co-ordinate Procurement bid activities, focusing on competitiveness
  
• Accountable for Deployment project WP5 budgets and schedules
  
• Responsible for driving and maintaining Deployment Project execution Ops Reviews.
  
• Accountable for ensuring that all safety issues are implemented through company's safety processes and procedures , specifically while managing any customer site activities, during in-house hardware and/or software development, and during the review of CRs and CCRB meetings.
  
• Lead alignment with COD heads on strategy, target pricing and technical & operational subjects relating to the capture opportunities
  
• Sets up action plan meant to gradually improve the quality of the service provided as perceived by the Customer or to reduce the associated cost. Manages commendation & complaints, capitalize on commendation & complaints for continuous improvement
  
• Acts as the delegate for the Vice President, Deployment as required
  

Key Requirements:

• Change agent and influencer of difficult situations
  
• 15 years' experience in various roles within GTS/Hitachi Rail/Alcatel
  
• 10 years people management experience
  
• At least 10 years on various Project Sites
  
• Display adept Product knowledge on end to end processes
  
• Excellent knowledge on Deployment operations
  
• Excellent knowledge of rail industry and technology
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Strong organization and negotiating skills
  
• Possesses CBTC Technical Knowledge (HW/SW)
  
• Excellent knowledge in Life Cycle (end-to-end) analysis
  
• Excellent Customer service experience
  
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• P. Eng. License
