The team We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with 10-12 years of experience in cloud engineering and a strong focus on Terraform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams in an onshore-offshore model and a deep understanding of AWS services, particularly in networking. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructures, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with application requirements.
The role Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers in an onshore-offshore model.
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS best practices.
- Develop reusable and modular Terraform configurations for cloud resource provisioning.
- Manage infrastructure automation, including modules, state management, and remote backends.
- Implement multi-account and multi-region strategies using AWS Organizations.
- Design and manage VPCs, subnets, security groups, route tables, and other network components.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to meet infrastructure and application needs.
- Document infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures for stakeholders.
What you'll bring - 10-12 years of experience in cloud engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, especially networking-related services.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git, with familiarity in branching and merging strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $130k-$140k base+ bonus.
The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Services bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
