Role : RTR- Inventory Specialist What you'll be doing Inventory Control:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Oversee the accurate recording of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and distributions.
- Review the inventory accounting and imports activities thoroughly, very good understanding of Flash Margin, Merchandise Operating Margin, Gross profit
System Management:
- Implement and manage inventory management systems (ERP systems).
- Train and support staff in using inventory management software.
Cost Control:
- Analyse inventory costs and develop strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Work with the finance team to manage budget allocations for inventory.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all inventory practices comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety standards in inventory management and warehouse operations.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the inventory management team.
- Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Monitoring team performance against client SLA's and objectives, providing guidance where necessary to close any gaps and agreeing mediation plans to resolve delivery issues
What you bring to the team - Ability to work in complex and challenging client environment (diversified org structure, ERPs, business processes)
- Strong cross functional expertise, multiyear transformation roadmap required to be executed in Inventory Accounting
- Excellent knowledge of Inventory control procedures and processing of Claims, Redemptions, Price Protection, Rebates relating to vendor funding
- An experienced professional coupled with strong domain expertise, excellent client relationship will help us achieve desired business benefits (Deliver contractual productivity through projects, address change management for operational stability)
- Ability to adapt processes to best meet the needs of Clients and mitigate potential sourcing risks Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum qualifications
- Accounting qualification- CMA preferred
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures Preferred qualifications
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas and analytics concepts
- Impeccable client management skills
- Prior exposure to complex work environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
