Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Intern - Project Management for Summer, 2025.  The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.  The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure prompt recording of project correspondence on Project SharePoint sites and tracking logs for correspondence to/from clients and to/from subcontractors;
  • Ensure prompt releases of submittals to the client following release from the project team;
  • Preparation of customer monthly progress reports through data maintained by the Associate Project Support, as well as data provided by the Project team and PM;
  • Support preparation of Monthly/Quarterly Project Review presentations in PowerPoint by the PM;
  • Preparation of Project Progress Payment documentation and invoicing to the Project client;
  • Support preparation of Variation Orders for the Projects;
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Project Management Plan;
  • Support the Project Manager for any other specific task as appropriate.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 0 to 3 years expertise in a Project Management role
  • Ability to support many projects and Project Managers simultaneously
  • Experience with Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint, Word
  • Strong relevant technical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education:

  • Current Engineering or Business student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December, 2025 and December, 2026

Languages:

  • English Proficiency
