The team We seek a highly skilled and experienced leader for the pivotal role of Vice President of Global Supply Chain Manufacturing within our Global Supply Chain department for HICAM (part of Hitachi Vantara). This role will be instrumental in leading and managing all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring strategic oversight of processes, supply chain management, quality assurance, and operational efficiency to meet production goals while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The leader should manage the facility according to our shared values, while exemplifying the leadership style we aspire to.
This position is not remote. You will be required to be on site at the Norman Oklahoma campus. The role- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Responsible for the company's short- and long-term profitability and growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, encourage innovation, and improve product quality.
- Operational Management:
- Demonstrates expertise in various manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Plans and directs all aspects of the organization's policies, objectives, and initiatives.
- Financial Oversight:
- Prepare and manage manufacturing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. o Implement cost control measures and ensure efficient use of resources to achieve financial targets.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Address and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee procurement and inventory management to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and vendors to support business needs and negotiate favorable terms.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of senior leaders and staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence onsite.
- Lead the Global Supply Chain Group shared values by example. o Lead and adapt organizational change management. o Supports and promotes corporate citizenship initiatives.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Promote a safe working environment and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Technology and Innovation:
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and techniques to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to drive innovation within the manufacturing process.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate performance, challenges, and opportunities to the executive team and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to align capabilities with business needs.
What you'll bring- Requires a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Typically requires 15 years of experience in production operations.
- 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations and leading cross[1]functional teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Working Conditions:
- Based in Norman OK, with occasional travel to business sites, suppliers, and industry events.
Requires a flexible schedule to accommodate varying business needs and time zones.
