The opportunity

As a PGTR Engineering Platforms Solution Architect, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering IT solutions and services to the Engineering and R&D domains within BU Transformers. In this role, you will design, ensure the integrity, and maintain the quality of IT solutions. You will collaborate on project setup, delivery, and service operations optimization. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow and learn in a supportive environment.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Manage large projects or processes with limited oversight from the manager

  • Collaborate with Application Architects, Enterprise Architects, and Business Analysts

  • Engage in requirements engineering to decide on standard functionalities and enhancements

  • Create, evaluate, and document solution options considering business requirements and standards

  • Define technical IT solutions from an integration’s perspective, including API definitions

  • Consider functional and non-functional requirements in Platforms architecture

  • Communicate architectural design and dimensions to the development team

  • Make recommendations regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of software to increase information systems efficiency

Your background

  • 5+ years of experience in platform solution architecture

  • 3+ years of experience designing integration solutions

  • Experience working collaboratively in geographically dispersed teams and with complex technical domains

  • Experience in a large, reputable organization is highly desirable

  • Master’s degree in information systems, electrical, or mechanical engineering

  • Willingness to travel (around 30%; domestic and international)

  • Fluent spoken and written English
