Description

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Standard costs management and reporting, including BOM maintenance, Labor and Overhead Rate calculation
  • Supports internal/external audits related to costing processes/COGS expenses
  • Supports Site F&A Manager with departmental self-audits relating to inventory and cost management
  • Supports Bi-Annual Physical Inventory, financial related activities
  • Supports monthly forecast preparations
  • Supports month end closing process by preparing monthly COGS related closing journal entries
  • Coordinates annual expense budget creation
  • Collaborates with department managers to monitor budget monthly variances. 
  • Gap Analysis Budget Reporting
  • Supports Sales / Management Team with ad hoc cost analysis reports
  • Balance sheet reconciliations for COGS related accounts
  • Communicates with management and others in a cooperative manner
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Safety & Environmental:     

  • Promotes a Safety-First Attitude and provides safe work environment by following all required corporate safety policies and OSHA regulations which may or may not include Personal Protective Equipment, Chemicals, Fall Protection, Fire Protection, Incident reporting, Hearing conservation, and others.

Quality:

  • Creates necessary documents (work instructions) to help aid with training for finance department activity.
  • Performs due diligence on calculated and contributed data included in financial reports, internal and external
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping

Delivery:

  • Responsible for following all direction given by site and regional management on all projects

Productivity:

  • Uses time management skills to organize, prioritize and delegate multiple projects to meet project deadlines

Preferred Skills:  

  • Advanced Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
  • Use of office equipment i.e.. fax, copier, calculator
  • Ability to work with others in an open office, team environment
  • Ability to Multi-task / work a fast-paced office
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrates high level of integrity, business ethics, and confidentiality
  • Ability to build friendly work relationships, develop cross department teams and mentor junior staff
  • Familiar with accounting concepts, practices, and procedures – Strong in GAAP, familiar with IFRS

Minimum Experienced Preferred: 

  • 1-3 years minimum in similar function within a manufacturing environment, automotive manufacturing experience preferred

Minimum Education Required:

  • 4-year degree in accounting or business administration
