In Hitachi Energy - Grid integration Business Unit we have a passion for complete solutions that address customers’ challenges throughout planning, building, owning and use phases. To transmit this passion fully to our customer we aim to strengthen our technical leadership in grid connection solutions and the associated technology thought leadership.
This function is positioned in a global competence team for Grid Connections and Substations. It is a key-role with a strong technical focus on creating customer solutions for connecting various applications to the power grid.
The team is very international with hosted team members in Europe, Middle East and Asia. A strong collaborative approach and a “can do” mentality both from an individual output perspective as well as team-collaboration is essential. The team operates in a non-hierarchical fashion and has a high visibility in the product group.

How you’ll make an impact
Develop new- and apply existing grid connection solutions for different customer segments such as in renewable energy systems, industries, data centers and utilities. Responsible for technical solutions portfolio (specification, approval, roll-out, release)
Develop and maintain customer-specific system reference designs with key targeted (global) customers
Identify, lead and develop new innovative solutions with key targeted customers
Conduct internal technical trainings and deploy base solutions globally i.e. in countries and business hubs
Represent Hitachi Energy – Grid Integration in relevant international technical committees and associations (e.g. CIGRE, IEC, IEEE)
Support certification process and training development
Your background
Strong technical knowledge and experience of medium- and high voltage GIS and AIS switchgear products including configurations and product engineering and/or application sales
Technical University Degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc.)
Proven experience (min. 5, preferably 10 years business experience) in local & global roles, in a utility/electrical-industrial environment
Strong cross-discipline technology affinity and curiosity.
Performing in- and guiding international and cross-functional teams through new approaches
Business experience expected in electrical solutions for mission critical segments
Thorough understanding of the evolution of power grid infrastructure and challenges related to climate change
Relevant markets’ customers, competition, offering and capabilities
Strong customer facing, interaction and technical influencing experience with large and global customers
