Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team. As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for our global ServiceNow platform and play a critical role in day-to-day operations and in the design, development, and implementation of solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that improve business processes and drive operational efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities:
As the platform owner you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation, support including change management.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance in best practices for ServiceNow development.
Ensure the platform's stability, security, and performance by conducting regular code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the ServiceNow platform.
Stay current with ServiceNow releases and leverage new features and functionality to enhance platform capabilities.
Lead the design, development, and configuration of ServiceNow applications and modules, including custom solutions.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to strategic planning for the ServiceNow platform.
Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform located in US, Asia and Europe.
Develop and implement workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies to automate business processes.
Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs and develop and maintain data import/export processes.
Implement best practices for data management, security, and compliance within the ServiceNow platform.
Manage end-to-end development of medium size projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope and requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and configuration guides.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
10+ years of experience in Information technology which must include minimum of 6+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, design, and development.
Proven expertise in developing custom applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
Strong experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, IRM.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and other web technologies.
Experience with integrating ServiceNow with external applications via REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.
In-depth understanding of ServiceNow APIs, data models, ACLs, and security policies.
Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for ServiceNow.
ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) are highly desirable.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and certifications such as ITIL Foundation.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a highly, dynamic environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Understands & works efficiently in the offshore/onshore model.

For California only (as required by California’s Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act (SB 1162): The expected salary for this position in our California office is $113,800 - $142,250. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
