The opportunity

The Quality team is dedicated to implementing a culture and practice of excellence throughout the entire value chain of the organization, to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability in a sustainable way. You will plan, organize, lead and monitor all Quality work related to the project and analyze and consider the quality demands of the contract to align them with Hitachi Energy project quality management system. You will also ensure assurance support to the Project Manager in quality related issues in the project to support project objective achievement in terms of quality and customer satisfaction.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Act as a Role Model for the behaviour required to support a Quality & Continuous Improvement Culture. Develop and hold Quality Induction trainings to different departments to increase the quality awareness.

  • Drive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in the organization and in execution projects ensuring compliance to customer, corporate or legal requirements.

  • Support projects in execution with project quality plans (PQP) and master test plan (MTP); organize and supervise factory or site acceptance (FAT) testing with customers, third parties and governmental authorities whenever required.

  • Review inspection test plans (ITP) and inspection test records (ITR) from suppliers for correctness and completeness according to corporate and customer’s quality control plans (QCP)

  • Assist and coordinate in internal and external audits.

  • Lead improvement projects, facilitate lessons learned and best practice sessions and sharing within the organization (PDCA, DMAIC, 8D).

Your background

  • University Degree in a technical discipline (engineering or quality management).

  • At least 3 years’ experience in process improvement and quality assurance roles, preferably in a Projects or Engineering environment.

  • Knowledge of quality management standards e.g. ISO9001 and experience in quality audits.

  • Ability to establish, maintain and influence effective working relationships in a large and complex organization.

  • Capacity to communicate, result oriented, openness and listen to others.

  • Willingness of being a Change Agent with a positive attitude, challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodology and driving improvements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. L6S YB/GB an advantage.

  • Proficiency in English and Italian at an advanced level.

  • Willing to travel to project site locations (approx. 15% of the time).
