Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Railway Electrician who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

About the Position:

With record-breaking investment in rail infrastructure and networks to support more livable and sustainable cities and communities across Australia, we’re expanding our team to meet the demands of our growing project portfolio.


Based in Brisbane, you will be part of dynamic, innovative, and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for undertaking the physical construction activities.

  • Responsible for executing construction activities by interpreting signalling documentation and drawings and functional construction documentation.

  • Support the Electrical team and subcontractors to deliver the ETCS L2 project plan.

  • Undertake all electrical works, in accordance with the project delivery plan.

  • Comply with all Heath Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.

  • 2+ years in Railway signalling.

  • Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.

  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.

  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.

  • Resourceful, resilient, and professional.
