The team

As a part of Product Engineering Services practice, we are looking for Application QA Lead to join us to contribute to practice initiatives and keep current in the latest technology developments in the Cloud and Product Engineering space.

The role
  1. Align to the overall guidance and direction from the Program Management and Application Development Teams.
    2. Leads the development of Test Strategies, Methodologies and Standard processes for all Application work streams by analyzing the business requirements to ensure testability, traceability and end-to-end business process coverage.
    3. Define testing scope and approach, including test data management, for all Application products by partnering with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders.
    4. Develop Test Plans aligned to project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones and critical paths and identify staffing needs to execute to the test plan.
    5. Lead and drive test automation suite creation, adoption and implementation for faster turnaround on regression validations for code deployments.
    6. Lead the Application QA teams in SIT execution, monitor the testing processes and inspect the outcomes to ensure the quality of products meet business needs.
    7. Oversee and address critical issues, defects, dependencies, and risks related to testing.
    8. Ensure Quality metrics are tracked and reported across testing phases.
    9. Using Zephyr and JIRA tools for Test Management planning, tracking and reporting.
    10. Create and publish timely reports and documentation to show testing progress to management.

What you'll bring

Minimum 15+ Years of Test Lead experience in driving Application & Backend Systems Integration Testing - to include functional, automation, regression, API testing, Database testing, Performance & Load and Mobile Testing
• Minimum 6+ Years of experience leading Automation Testing Team developed on open-source tools
• Experienced in creating the User journey driven Testing scenarios for backend integrations and handling test data management
• Required leadership Skills to manage Offshore QA Team members
• Experienced with automation tools like Selenium using Java
• Familiar with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins), Code Coverage (Sonarqube)
• Experienced in using Test Management Software packages/tools such as JIRA, Zephyr
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Goal Oriented with a Product Mindset to achieve outcomes

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $130k-$145k base+ bonus.

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Services bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
