To strengthen our Purchasing Department, we are looking for a Senior Tactical Buyer responsible for managing procurement goods and services ensuring that our supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement strategies, supplier management and negotiation skills along with ability to communicate fluently in French.

Your responsibilities

• Purchasing goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
•  Supporting the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
• Acting as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
• Monitoring and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
• Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
• Providing analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
• Preparing reports and updates as and when required
• Negotiating contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings
• Preparing and raise purchase orders and order schedules
• Building, maintaining and managing  supplier relationships and keep up good communications
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.
• Conducting research for new components and suppliers
• Compiling data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation
• Assessing and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
• Contacting suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

Your background

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in relation to field
• At least 3- 4 years of experience in purchasing or in relation to area.  
• Very good knowledge of English (B2/C1)
• Very good knowledge of French (B2/C1)
• Knowledge of SAP system and Excel
• Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding
• Experience of working closely with suppliers
• Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills
