Essential Functions:

Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by local management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific (HIAMS)AM site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):

  • Supports the oversight of planning, coordinating, and implementation of processes in multiple areas or functions by performing any combination or all of the below duties.
  • Coordinates, evaluates, and improves methods while emphasizing the implementation of safety, quality, efficiency, process, costing, and equipment improvements.
  • Provides technical guidance, support, and direction for multiple technicians to resolve process issues in their specific department.
  • Assists in troubleshooting of multiple area specific technology, equipment, and processes.
  • Generates and summarizes data to support all findings and countermeasure proposals and reads schematics.
  • Analyzes indicated and calculated results in relation to specifications and improvement objectives, and modifies or adjusts as needed.
  • Confers with appropriate department management to ensure efficient and effective review and implementation for completed job tasks among those technicians working under his/her direction.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Must have good technical knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and give technical direction to fellow technicians in a leadership capacity.
  • Assists in training new technicians.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.  This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner. Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.  Technical certification or Associates Degree preferred.

Experience:

Over 5 years prior related experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

Supervisory responsibilities may be possible to perform the job duties as designated by area management.

Physical Demands:

Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Ability to work 40 – 60 hours per week, including weekends and holiday work.  Overhead work and working at heights when necessary.

Travel:

Minimal domestic travel may be required as needed. 

Work Environment: 

Working in an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas.
