Description

The person in charge of managing and coordinating the activities related to security in Honolulu project (performs the security risk assessment, develops the Project Security Plan, defines and supports training sessions). This person reports to Head of Project & Branches Security.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the physical security operations for the Honolulu Project will manage and provide support for the security system activities present, managing suppliers and external contractors to the Company, ensuring the timely implementation of corrective action plans in the event of security incidents and breaches. The successful candidate will carry out the daily surveillance activities and will support the Head of Project & Branches in the planning and implementation of specific projects. They will be responsible for managing security events/criticalities (such as security system failures, alarms, incidents etc.), ensuring punctual and rapid communication/escalation of information to management.

The selected candidate will have to perform the following tasks:

1: Overseeing the operational security requirements for Honolulu Project in line with

Physical Security procedures:

  • Monitoring of supervisory activities;
  • Management and supervision of the internal/external personnel assigned to the site surveillance service;
  • Carrying out Security Audits on site, through construction site inspections, interviews, exercises and management of relationships with suppliers/consultants in line with the requirements of the HRSTS Physical Security Function, TSA guidelines and best practices;
  • Administrative management of surveillance services to guarantee the assigned budget target;
  • Provide day, night and weekend on-call support when required in an emergency/need;
  • Management of security systems and implementation of the same ensuring the achievement of the

established objectives;

  • Ensure the correct use of the supplied software platforms (PSIM, CCTV; Access Control);
  • Administrative management of plant maintenance contracts.
  •  Verification of the adoption and compliance with company rules/procedures in the field of Security;
  • Implementation of security processes also through the development of improvement projects;
  • Preparation of summary reports and analysis of Security events;
  • Risk Assessment and Security Plan execution of HR Sites;
  • Contributes to the identification of solutions to be adopted to mitigate the risks.

2. The candidate must have the following characteristics:

Training & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 10 years’ experience in security, maintenance and/or operations and management of security facilities/systems.
  • Experience of working in the management of operations/systems/activities within complex industrial facilities and sites and/or in the field of transport is considered an additional requirement, which is relevant for the selection.

Additional Duties

  • Overseeing the operational security requirements of the Hitachi Rail Honolulu site in line with contractual expectations, including the monitoring of the site security teams based at location.

  • Undertake scheduled and unscheduled security inspections, drills and formal audits of Hitachi Rail Honolulu managed facilities in line with the requirements of the Global Security Department, TSA guidelines and best practice.
  • Develop, implement and regularly review Security Threat, Impact Assessments and associated documentation.
  • Deputise for the Head of Asset Security Americas where required.
  • Undertake the role of Security Referent for Hitachi Rail in accordance with the requirements of the Global Security Department and TSA.
  • Provide reports and Key Performance Indicators to establish the organisations physical security maturity and resilience.
  • Provide on call day, night and weekend support when required in the event of a security incident.
  • To be aware of and actively promote and implement Hitachi’s ethos, culture and values.
  • To be involved in Hitachi Rail Honolulu staff development and training and participate in GPMS procedures.

The salary range for this position is $106,320 - $159,480.

Final pay is determined by the candidate’s experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
