Electrical Engineer - Covington, OH

Description

Hitachi Automation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team in Covington, OH. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing electrical projects for automated systems in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate electrical projects and manage schedules.
• Meet with customers to understand and summarize their requirements.
• Specify electrical items for automated machines.
• Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors to get job quotes.
• Request vendors to build electrical items, program PLCs, and HMIs.
• Check items and programs with vendors.
• Select necessary devices and create drawings.
• Perform PLC programming, PLC and HMI program checks, and editing.
• Conduct tests at Hitachi Automation.
• Coordinate trials at customer sites.
• Coordinate with suppliers or vendors.
• Support sales team.
• Prepare quotes for electrical things for new projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical and controls engineering role.
• Proven experience in electrical design and PLC programming.
• Strong knowledge of automated systems in the automotive industry.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines.
