Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)

  • 4-year college degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience and education
  • Knowledge of control systems, mechanics, pneumatics, and factory floor equipment programming
  • 3 years of related work experience with high-volume, precision assembly processes
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Expert PLC programmer, Robots (Fanuc, Motoman, Yamaha, and Mitsubishi), Weber screwdriver, Nordson Spray System, Keyence Vision, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No direct reports
  • Guide and support other Engineers, Interns, EIT’s, MAs, and TAs

Software

  • Typical software: AB PLC, Mitsubishi PLC, Keyence PLC, Fanuc, IAI, and Motoman Robots, Atlas-Copco screwdriver, Keyence Vision, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic
  • Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Intermediate experience with Autodesk and CATIA preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time while standing, walking, or bending
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds
  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
  • Full motor skills

Work Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc.

  • May require up to 20% travel

  • Factory setting with noise
