As an Ion Implant Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of semiconductor production systems. This role focuses on the maintenance and optimization of ion implantation equipment while working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, productivity, and system reliability.
How you will make an impact
Ensure maximum uptime of semiconductor production systems through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting of ion implantation equipment
Drive continuous process improvements in production systems, implementing workplace safety and efficiency practices aligned with 5S methodology
Collaborate effectively with maintenance, process, and production teams to achieve project goals and optimize production lines
Participate in system upgrade projects and initiatives to modernize production tools and processes
Maintain comprehensive documentation of daily work activities, maintenance tasks, and system performance
Support the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues within the team
Train and mentor colleagues on ion implantation systems and best maintenance practices
Your background
Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Automation Technician, Electronics Technician, or similar)
Additional technical or methodological training in vacuum systems or related areas is a strong advantage
Hands-on experience in maintaining semiconductor production systems or similar industrial equipment
Solid understanding of electronics, mechanics, and pneumatics; experience with ion implantation systems is a plus (e.g., AMAT XR-9500, VIISta 900XP, Varian EH-500)
Experience with metrology systems for process control (e.g., Surfscan 6200, Semilab WT-2000) is highly desirable
Proficiency in German and English, with excellent communication and documentation skills
Strong team player with demonstrated problem-solving abilities and organizational skills
Willingness to work in shifts to support uninterrupted production operations
