Description
Hitachi Astemo Americas Inc is looking for an experienced suspension engineer to join our Advanced Chassis Team. The candidate for this position will be responsible for designing, planning, testing, and coordinating multiple processes for new products related to shock-absorber business, including passive and semi-active technologies. In addition, in this position, the candidate will coordinate all product development activities between customers, suppliers and responsible departments within the Hitachi Astemo.
The primary responsibility of this position includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong/effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel and support activities and coordination at the global level is desired.
Education: Bachelor of mechanical engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree is preferable
Experience: 5+ years’ applicable experience in the automotive industry, preferable in suspension or shock-absorber related areas.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Working conditions:
Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Have ability to work 40 – 50 hours per week.
Travel: Domestic and international as needed.
