Summary of the position:

This role is responsible for reviewing and processing Sullair warranty claims while analyzing warranty data to identify recurring issues and support product improvements aimed at reducing warranty costs.

This position is located on-site in Michigan City, Indiana.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial equipment, or HVAC mechanic
  • Ability to talk to customers in professional manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree (preferred).
  • Field service experience with industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Smart Equip, and Salesforce CRM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-driven approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet goals, and maintain a customer-focused mindset.
  • Team-oriented with a drive to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate warranty claims from the field based on component failures, warranty coverage, flat rate guidelines, labor rates, mileage, and travel time.
  • Process claims efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to warranty policies.
  • Identify warranty trends and recurring issues, assisting in product and process improvements to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to determine the root cause of failures.
  • Conduct returned part reviews and analyses.
  • Support new product development (NPD) and engineering improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction projects.
  • Utilize SAP, warranty systems, and Microsoft Office products to manage warranty claims and data.
  • Serve as an active participant in the Quality Clinic team to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Travel as needed to suppliers and customers (less than 10%).
