R&D Data Specialist INTERNSHIP

With this internship you will contribute and support the team to meet successful results in Research & Development projects development for our Transformer Business Unit in Monselice (PD).

The internship will be mainly in presence in our Monselice Technology center office: our attention therefore for a candidate who lives near this location or who has a car to be able to easily reach our office.

The opportunity

We are seeking an engineer or data specialist student to join our R&D team for an internship. The successful candidate will be engaged mainly to extract data from different data base or from electrical designs of power transformers. The preferable candidate will have a background data extraction or data collection in engineering field.

Your responsibilities

• Develop simple algorithms (DB query, excel macro) to support the data extraction.
• Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods.
• Extract and manage data from different Databases.
• Resourcefulness in carrying out data collection activities.
• Interact and collaborate with colleagues from Italian Team, Global Technology Centers and Factories worldwide to collect the access of different DBs or transformer designs.

Your background

• A High school diploma or bachelor's degree better in electrical/mechanical engineering or scientific area.
• Knowledge of databases access & queries (e.g., SQL server,) environment.
• Knowledge of R Studio and/or Python environment.
• Sound knowledge of MS Office especially Excel, PowerBI (or equivalent).
• Knowing an 2D/3D CAD will be considered as a plus.
• Good in Italian and English.
