Job description

The Experienced NVH Project Lead is in charge of defining, developing and executing the component and system validation test plan of NVH activities for foundation brake system, from conception to completion. His strong knowledge in mechanical engineering, chassis component design and NVH allows him to lead external customer application projects as well as R&D projects with internal and external partners.

Project Lead :

  • Define and lead the activity plan for customer projects, overseeing the development of new brake systems and product enhancements,
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, testing, simulation, manufacturing) to achieve project goal and timelines,
  • Leads the project testing activities within the NVH team (laboratory and test benches), and provides synthesis to both internal and external customers,
  • Lead the investigation and resolution phases on brake applications to ensure NVH performance and overall quality of our products,
  • Manage project budgets, schedules and resources for delivery of NVH milestones.

NVH Research and Development :

  • Drive internal NVH-related projects for knowledge and competency improvement, by defining global objectives, internal/external partners, milestones and ressources,
  • Apply advanced NVH testing, analysis and simulation techniques todiagnose, identify and mitigate NVH issues in braking systems.

Process optimisation :

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating best practises for NVH performance, testing, and product design,
  • Work on procedure and methodology improvement to anticipate Automotive market transformation and comply with current industrial challenges

Work relations :

  • Report hierarchically to the NVH team Manager, Functionnaly to the Product Engineer,
  • Collaborates within NVH team with Laboratory and Test Bench pole members, and with other NVH project leads,
  • Collaborates with Simulation Team, Vehicle Testing team and other testing and design departments
  • Support communication to external customers/partners

Technical knowledge required :

  • Master Degree/Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with NVH specialisation, or equivalent, preferalbly in automotive industry,
  • Minimum 10 years experience in NVH,
  • Proven experience leading complex projects
  • Solid knowledge of chassis component design, preferably brake systems
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and programming is a plus
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
  • German speaking is a plus
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as IATF 16949
