The Category Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the categories under his accountability are collaboratively implemented in the more appropriate way.
General Description and Missions:- The Category Buyer (CB) will support several Procurement Categories
- The CB is accountable for end to end performance of the acquisition process, via the management of the RFQ &/or RFP's
- The CB is expected to lead and drive supplier selection process, E2E, from supplier identification, negotiation, contract signature, till PO placement, deliery follow up and Invoice payment
- The CB ensures the deployment, implementation and monitoring of agreed category strategies in order to meet Business needs.
Key Performance Indicators for this position are:- Annual volume of commitment and spend within relevant category and % of Savings
- Define and develop the supplier panel in order to meet Projects & Business needs
- Category operational performance: quality, on-time delivery, supply risk assessment
- Percentage of Business awards / Supplier Contract signature / PO on time vs the Project Procurement Plan
- On-time delivery of information for the Tenders & Bids
Responsibilities: - Perform necessary supplier approval steps according to global and local company policies
- Negotiate commercial terms (price, delivery date, payment terms) obtain better pricing conditions/discounts, versus a target budget
- Place POs and follow up on P2P process
- Own relationship with suppliers and drive SRM related activities per the assigned category
- Conduct opportunity analysis, spend management and scout for better suppliers
- Liaise with the internal customers to understand their requirements and close them in the given time frame
- Own Contract negotiation by working closely with Legal and Contract Management function to redline and negotiate commercial contracts, for materials or services.
- Actively participate to commodity strategy and local suppliers panel elaboration
- Ensure that e-Acquisition and all company procurement tools are fully used
RequirementsEducation & Work Experience: - 3+ years' experience in Procurement: Category or Projects
- Extensive experience in Price and Terms Negotiation for projects &/or categories is mandatory
- Previous experience in contract negotiation and drafting will be needed & higly appreciated
- Indirect purchasing background is desirable.
Technical Skills:- Ability to drive E2E Procurement process.
- Good knowledge of Contract Structure and Contract Negotiation
- Knowledge of negotiation tactics and Procurement specific tools - TCO, Nego planner, etc.
- Medium / Advanced Excel skills, good knowledge of Power Point.
- Manage various Procurement specific tools -increased complexity.
Soft Skills:- "Can do" attitude and sense of ownership
- Persuasion and influencing skills
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Good verbal communication skills
- Language: English language fluency is desirable
