For instance, with the rapid urbanization in India, several cities face increasing security related challenges which have led the governments at various levels to consider public safety solutions using video surveillance. Industries alike face similar risks in monitoring mission critical operations, and be able to predict beforehand any failure that can interrupt daily operation. In the financial sector, Banks need to identify suspicious card transactions happening at a merchant location and at the same time be able to identify high-value customers and generate suitable recommendations.Hitachi has a long track record of developing smart solutions in Japan and elsewhere. To expand and promote Social Innovation Business dedicated to India, Hitachi India R&D Centre is looking for motivated researcher with penchant for constant innovation, and ability to learn and explore new areas. The prospective candidate would be required to carry out research on AI to build smart solutions that can be applied to varied Hitachi businesses in the areas of Finance, Public Safety, Healthcare, Automotive and Urban Development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with industry experience of 2 years or more with a proven track record for research.
Hands-on experience in Statistical data analysis and Machine learning.
Experience applying Deep learning.
Knowledge of Computer Vision and NLP tools.
Good programming skills.
Good communication, logical thinking and presentation skills.
Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Publications (paper or letter) accepted to academic journals.
Substantial industry experience developing prototypes and demonstrating PoCs.
