Summary of the position:
This position is for an outgoing and assertive individual
who can juggle multiple projects and cope with the associated pressures to
drive innovation and directly support Sullair’s manufacturing
operations. The Manufacturing Engineer will integrate (SQDCM)
EH&S, Quality, Delivery, Product Cost, and Inventory goals into their daily
tasks and projects. This individual must
be a change advocate and successfully motivate and lead cross-functional teams
to the ultimate sustainable outcome utilizing lean manufacturing concepts.
Duties and responsibilities:
and improve manufacturing processes and procedures aimed at lowering
process management and improvements
and maintain CNC programming for machining centers
both the tactical and strategic goals and objectives through the implementation
of lean principles of manufacturing, i.e., 6S, 5Why, Kaizen, VSM, etc.
of work instructions, documentation, and optimized operational routings for
given work centers.
of capital equipment and advancement of manufacturing technology throughout
selection and procurement.
Plans, tool design, gage planning, and troubleshooting of processes.
estimates, time standards, technical support of shop floor.
justification and implementation of capital equipment.
floor layouts for existing and future project/processes in AutoCAD.
in and lead root cause analyses of quality, manufacturing, and process issues.
in New Product launches.
in make versus buy analyses on products and processes.
capacity and factory layout analyses to meet business demand.
in and conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) On the Fly as required to detect and
correct potential safety issues on the shop floor.
and Approve ECOs for new product and for current product and process.
Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
years plus experience in Manufacturing or related field.
with CNC machining and other automated manufacturing equipment.
with paint equipment and processes.
to engineering change order documentation, qualification for operations,
and product lifecycle management.
strong abilities in Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques (Lean
tools; Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, DMAIC, etc.
management experience required.
certification is a plus.
to lead a cross-functional team and control project timing/budget.
Sigma Green/Black belt certification a plus.
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and Design for Manufacturing
analytical skills and must be detail-oriented.
to adapt and implement modern technology quickly.

Experience in CAD/CAM.
