Your new role
 

Hitachi Rail are currently looking to recruit a Service Quality Manager based in Doncaster. The Service Quality Manager will be responsible for service quality and product quality management within our service and maintenance business.

 

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • Escalate and reports to Service & Maintenance Head of Product & Service Quality in case of major Product Safety and Quality issues.

  • Identify and promote quality improvement initiatives within Train Maintenance Centres

  • Provide  support to Operations and Maintenance Engineering in case of significant or repetitive quality issues (i.e. Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality)

  • Provide support to Quality Assurance & Control for ISO 9001 and ECM audit activities and related preventive/corrective actions follow up.

  • Assures the proper management of depot Non-Conformities in coordination with all the involved functions.

  • Assure the planning of an independent regular depot “In Process” Checks on maintenance execution in order to verify the compliance to maintenance plan, internal procedures, competence management system and regulatory system (independent eye).

  • Manages the Train Maintenance Centre Quality KPI reporting and continuously promotes quality metrics optimization.


About you


Essential requirements
  • Experience in a quality management role. 
  • Ideally have in experience in rolling stock, rail or train maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of service management issues.
  • Experience in root cause analysis.
  • Experience in service and maintenance regimes.

 

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electric Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
