Hitachi America, Ltd., (www.hitachi-america.us
is looking for a Sales Director for the Marking and Coding product line. The Sales Director will be responsible
for providing sales and marketing direction for the Marking and Coding (M&C)
business in the Americas. Experience developing and motivating the distribution
channel as well as direct experience selling to larger OEM/end users is required.
Experience in the M&C industry and Industrial Ink Jet Printer (Continuous
Ink Jet Printer – CIJ) business in North America is also mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and direct
the execution of marketing plans to expand Hitachi’s M&C presence in HAL sales area.
- Manage the selection
and the evaluation process of distributor performance. Prepare and conduct sales presentations
to prospective distributors and direct accounts.
- Participate in the
preparation of the Hitachi Global M&C business plan each term with
specific responsibility for the 3-year business plan. Establish sales,
orders received and expense budgets each term which support the long-term global
- Conduct monthly
reviews and report to management on actual sales, orders received and
expenses for M&C business.
Implement appropriate actions and countermeasures to achieve/meet
- Provide leadership
and direction for M&C technical, product management, and sales support
competitive products and marketing practices to keep management and global
counterparts informed concerning same.
Suggest actions and countermeasures as needed to improve Hitachi
- Recommend product
enhancements and additions as well as policy changes that will increase
- Participate in Managers’
and Global product meetings to present needs of American market for M&C
as well as to understand strategic direction of global M&C product and
worldwide sales operation group.
- Direct and oversee
M&C advertisement/promotion activity including budget preparation,
coordination with global team, trade show attendance, web site content, technical
and sales literature.
- Participate in and
contribute to programs or activities as assigned by management.
- Graduation from a four (4) year accredited
- 10+ Years of Sales
experience in the Marking and Coding industry.
- 5+ Years of
Managing Sales team experience in the related industry.
- Service and
Application Knowledge of Ink Jet and related Marking and Coding Products.
