Manager of Executive Communications

Hitachi Global Social Innovation Business is searching for an experienced and passionate communications professional to drive and execute dynamic executive thought leadership and content creation for our C-level executives.


This position will play a key role building impactful communications programs to engage internal and external stakeholders.  The strategic role is responsible for building and refining messaging and presentations for our CEO, as well as other executives, helping them amplify their thought leadership and storytelling through a variety of communications channels. The role will also partner with communications stakeholders throughout Hitachi Group companies to align global messages to employee audiences.  


This individual must be able to quickly capture the voice of the executives while having the ability and confidence to make proactive recommendations; synthesize complex information on diverse subject matter; and integrate data gathered from multiple sources into clear, concise and inspiring communications. With an emphasis on PowerPoint presentations, email communications and press releases, this person must be able to create high-quality, visually appealing, relevant content that communicates complex strategies and concepts to different audiences.  Boundless enthusiasm, a can-do attitude and a passion for learning are essential for this position. She or he must also work independently, working closely under the supervision of a marketing lead and, with minimal input from executives, develop content in various formats for different communications channels. The successful candidate will execute content flawlessly on behalf of the leadership team.



  • Work with a marketing lead to develop effective internal and external communications strategies.
  • Implement content strategies and develop a variety of content for our C-level executives.
  • Capture the voice and tone of our executives across all forms of communications.
  • Distill complex information into engaging content for presentations and messages to a variety of global audiences.
  • Develop compelling executive content that includes keynotes, external events, presentations for all employees, and board level and leadership presentations.
  • Create messaging, talking points, and briefing documents on a variety of subjects based on the needs of our executive team.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders across multiple functions to identify and drive the right communications opportunities for executives.
  • Collaborate across multiple functions to develop compelling executive storylines and content for major internal communications opportunities such as town halls, sales kickoff events and enterprise-wide messages. 



    • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or communications preferred
    • Minimum of 7+ years communications experience, 5+ years of visual/graphic design experience and at least 2 years of experience supporting communications for senior technology executives.
    • Exceptional writing, editing, design and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent visual/graphic design skills
    • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality work
    • Experience working in a global company, with insight and sensitivity to cultural influences
    • Self-starter, detail-oriented, proactive, ability to work both independently and in teams     
    • Creative thinker with strong attention to details
    • Utmost adherence to confidentiality and business ethics; demonstrates outstanding judgment and discretion
    • Strong business acumen, including the ability to understand, and relay complex information to various stakeholders
    • Ability to proactively driving communications outcomes
    • Ability to adapt to the unique tone and style of the executive to deliver credible, authentic communications
    • Proven track record in storytelling
    • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills, including ability to illustrate concepts visually
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally at least 10% of the time.
