Job Summary:  

The Operation and Support Services Technician helps with document control activities, basic information technology activities, activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes supporting continuous improvement efforts, assure compliance to regulatory requirement and other activities as assigned or directed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

 

1.   1.      DOCUMENT CONTROL ACTIVITIES (40% of time spent)

 

1.1        Data entry of all document changes and maintenance of all related documents and files, assigning document numbers and maintain numbering system

1.2        Assure accuracy of all documents, BOM’s and part number assignments

1.3        Maintain documentation files both electronic and paper

1.4        Assure accuracy of changed documents and coordinate the sign-off process for changes and approvals

1.5        Maintain revision level control, recall obsolete documents and replace with new

1.6        Evaluate individual part number assignments for compliance with ATD requirements, and make appropriate change to non-compliant parts; contact parts suppliers for updated requirements

 

2.            I.T. ACTIVITIES (30 % of time spent)

 

2.1        Provide technical support to employees under direction of IT service provider

2.2        Implement different maintenance activities when needed

2.3        Work with other IT professionals to ensure upholding IT standards

 

3.            OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (30% of time spent)

 

3.1        Help with some basic facilities/ equipment maintenance coordination activities

3.2        Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Management

 

4.  Safety Responsibilities

 

·         Support safety goals established by the Company

·         Follow all safety rules

·         Complete all required safety training

·         Participate in monthly safety inspection program as required

·         Cooperate with any safety inspections that are performed

·         Report unsafe working conditions to supervisor or safety committee

·         Wear required PPE

·         Use, store, and maintain tools and equipment properly

·         Report all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor  they may seem

·         Comply with all  current local, state, and federal environmental regulations

·         Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards

 

5.  Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by department manager.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Educational/Training/Certification Requirement:  

·         An Associate Degree in Information Technology or  equivalent (2 years) experience

 

Experience:  

·         2 years’ experience in IT field

·         NA

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

 

A.       Knowledge:                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

·         Some knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

·         Basic knowledge of diagnosing and resolving computer problems

 

B.      Skills:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

·         Data summarizing and analytical skills

·         Communication skills across all departments and all levels of the company

C.      Abilities:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

·         Ability to work independently

·         Ability to manage time effectively
