General Responsibilities:


The Account Manager will work closely with customers (Ford) and internal teams to support commercial activity related to brake products. Account management responsibilities include acting as a main point of contact for customers, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries, preparing sales reports and summaries, identifying growth opportunities, and working closely with internal teams to manage commercial activity related to the brake products. Support the Brake Business Unit integration as the key commercial window for the Ford CLO (customer line organization) in North America. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated with knowledge of brake products/systems and manufacturing processes to communicate confidently with knowledgeable customers.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with OEM engineering, purchasing, and cost analysis teams
  • Coordinate and complete customer quotations
  • Support customer visits to manufacturing sites and sales offices globally
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Analyze costs and pricing for customer brake applications
  • Receive, verify, and manage customer purchase orders
  • Maintain the sales budget for the Ford brake account
  • Support customer cost breakdown activities
  • Track and update customer contracts
  • Maintain and control project expenses
  • Support commercial aspects of product development and design changes
  • Understand customer’s expectations
  • Understand customer’s organization, program milestones, and key deliverables
  • Analyze and understand the automotive market and trends that would yield future opportunities.


Qualifications

Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business; MBA would be preferable
  • 5-7 years’ experience in sales, engineering, program management, or business development. Automotive brake experience required. Experience working with Ford Motor preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Well organized, inquisitive and detail oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong interest and availability for travel, including international

 

Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills.
