Working under the direct supervision of the Design Engineering Assistant Manager, the Product Cost Analyst must be able to support the costing of a product from the beginning quoting stage through mass production and understand total product profitability and identify areas for cost reduction. This position requires basic technical knowledge, superb attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple on-going projects. This position will also be required to support the Design Engineering Administration group including requisitions, drawing control, and other related document issuance. 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for organizing cost evaluation meetings and presenting related cost information to executive management.

  • Responsible to support reporting of cost for each product on a monthly basis.

  • Coordinate any actions required to meet budget preparation and other profit commitments.

  • Coordinate engineering group inputs for annual and semi-annual budget preparations and submit to appropriate persons each period.

  • Work with F&A and IT for continuous improvement for more efficient management of cost data.

  • Support price adjustments for customer and supplier related changes and issue corresponding documents.

  • Occasional international travel and evening or early morning calls may be required.



Education:  Bachelor’s degree in a technical or financial based discipline or Associates degree with specific job scope work experience.


  • Should have a minimum 2 years of working experience

  • Experienced in the use of computers including Microsoft office.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
