The Role

We are looking for an HR Project Manager responsible to manage the relationship of Hitachi Vantara Germany Works Council in close link with the Human Resources Department. In this role you will make sure to build a constructive relationship between the Employer and the Works council to serve both employee's and company's interests. You will make sure the company complies with all necessary requirement in terms of information, consultation, codetermination, while ensuring the collaboration between the Employer and Works Council enabling the company to apply the Corporate strategy and initiative to support the business growth. You will be also responsible of the compliance of the Employer to all data protection initiatives. You will support the preparation and resolution of any Court Action related to employees individual or collective matters. In addition you will participate on EMEA wide HR projects and support the regional HR team on general tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Approach as an employer representative towards the Works Council and assist the Human Resources team with managing the relationships with the Works Council including support for the meetings and future Works Council elections, supporting and advising based on the Works Constitution Act.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive constructive working atmosphere between the Works Council and the employer through a regular and transparent dialogue. Responsible for assigned Works Council requests, their examination and conclusion of Works Council's agreements / collective agreements, including negotiation management
  • Coordination of topics from different departments and their grouping into working groups in order to achieve an efficient work flow/cooperation with the Works Council
  • Support of data protection matters related to the German Works Council under guidance of and in coordination with a member of the EMEA Legal Team
  • Regular (yearly) trainings/education for the (international) managers about the German Works Council including actual developments and legal innovations
  • Project-Management of different matters to ensure compliance with German law, internal Policies and international rules with the goal to implement, after closing the project, an efficient permanent work around for the responsible department
  • Support of HR Managers / HR Business Partners with preparatory and administrative activities/tasks regarding on-going projects

Qualifications
  • University degree with law or economics diploma or in a HR related field with strong German labor law knowledge and experience
  • 2 to 4 years experience managing labor law matters
  • 2 to 4 years experiences as HR Manager covering Germany
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - fluent in both English - German
  • Apply legal knowledge to serve the business outcomes

  • Project or program management experience is a plus
