Your new role

In this exciting new role you will be support the Head of FP&A in delivering insightful performance analysis to senior cross-functional management in a fast moving rail business environment.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • Produce UK consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Produce UK consolidated budget packs
  • Consolidate variance analysis and performance indicators from the operational business units and use this to provide meaningful summarised information.
  • Finance business partner for the central cost centres maintaining a strong and supportive relationship with the cost centre owners.  Provide regular reporting on cost and cash performance whilst giving help with identifying and delivering savings.
  • Support the overhead finance business partner with cost, cash and balance sheet preparation, understanding and analysis
  • Responsible for managing the reporting of the bonus account
  • Responsible for consolidating headcount analysis
  • Occasional travel to other UK sites where required
 
About you
  • IFRS15 or experience with long-term accounting principles
  • Experience in recharge cost absorption environments
  • Previous experience gained in a global corporate in the manufacturing or other long-term project based industries (Infrastructure, Construction, Mining etc).
  • Highly numerical and analytical able to manage a large volume of detailed information.
  • Dynamic individual, able to manage in a fast changing environment.
  • Experience in Excel (required) and SAP/BW (preferred)
  • Technically able with a willingness to get hands-on where necessary

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant, with a proven background in similar roles.
