Role Overview

6-month Internship working in the Social Innovation Team to provide analytical support to project, market business and financial planning outlook.  To assist in providing analysis for strategic decision making by delivery correct and timely data.


Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provide management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc requests on revenues, cost centres, customers, product and sales channels
  • Perform financial analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities; makes recommendations to mitigate these risks
  • Analyse investment and profitability to provide resource allocation recommendations
  • Continually improve and streamline management reporting processes and systems to meet the changing demands of the business
  • Support in various financial and management business analysis & finance work stream requirements
  • Drive and improves business case proposals and profitability tracking
  • Develop and strengthen the BPA function in forward looking analytics
  • Ensure integrity of data provided and provide recommendations on forecast accuracy improvement
  • Ensure implementation of smooth processes to support on time and accurate information gathering
  • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support business planning within the various departments and programs
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Conduct insightful, ad-hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues


Skills & Competencies Required


  • Bachelor's Degree and / or Masters in an area such as Finance, Business Administration, Information Management or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Knowledge of Process Improvement
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Access and PowerPoint
