About the Opportunity

HCMO's Greystanes branch has an opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join the team in the position of Accounts Assistant. As an integral part of our busy accounting team, your core responsibility will be to provide administrative support for HCMO by providing bookkeeping services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, balancing ledgers, reconciling bank statements, administering corporate cards and preparing monthly activity statements.

This position will be best suited for a personable professional who has a keen eye for detail and a "can-do" attitude. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Finance & IT, the role is based in our Greystanes National Head Office, and responsible for a varied range of accounting and administrative functions whilst working closely with the Financial Accountant.

About You - To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Safety Conscious - A strong developed awareness and commitment to personal and peer health and safety.
  • Experience & Skillset - Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable position with previous work history in a Heavy Industrial environment will be highly regarded
  • Qualifications - Certificate IV in Accounting or Certificate III in Accounts Administration would be beneficial but are not essential.
  • Computer Literacy - Developed computing acumen using accounts data and AP automation software
  • Autonomous productivity - Initiative to reconcile accounts and coordinate accounts payable efficiently and effectively.
