Summary

Hitachi America, Ltd. (www.hitachi-america.us) on behalf of Hitachi, Ltd.  is searching for an HRIS PMO Manager to join the Global HRIS team as part of the Global Human Capital Division.  The HRIS PMO Manager will be responsible for managing HRIS project methodology, HRIS portfolio tracking and reporting, and change control process for Workday and other HR systems/tools across Hitachi, Ltd. 

 

Responsibilities

PMO Methodology and Standardization:

  • Establish and manage standard project delivery methodology across Global HRIS portfolio including framework, standardization, templates, tools, documentation, and reporting.
  • Recommend, deploy and manage project management tools/automation.
  • Responsible for setting up program metric(s) framework, tracking and reporting to HRIS leadership.
  • Guide project teams in project delivery following standard project delivery methodology and tracking compliance.
  • Continue to evolve project methodology and tools and keep up with PMO trends.
  • Work with PMO transformation office to provide input into overall PMO and to align HRIS to overall PMO.

HRIS Portfolio and Project Management:

  • Manage Global HRIS portfolio reporting for management view including consolidating and summarizing project status, tracking dependencies/impacts across projects, budget status, etc.
  • Work with project managers, project leads, and HRIS leads to track and document project status reports, risks/issues, escalations, resources needs, budget changes, etc.
  • Lead PMO meetings, manage action items, and prepare & distribute program-level status summary to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Provide project management direction/guidance to project managers, project leads and other HRIS leads including reviewing of project plans, timeline, resources, risks/mitigation plans, etc.
  • Responsible for project financial tracking and reporting including internal and external cost.
  • Provide training and education on standard project methodology to PM’s, project leads and other HRIS members as needed.
  • Manage and/or participate in the execution of company or functional Workday deployments as required.  This may vary from providing project management to being responsible for specific deliverables in the project.

Overall Management:

  • Supports Global HRIS management in HRIS roadmap and future planning including facilitating planning sessions, documenting roadmap and actions, and ongoing tracking.
  • Responsible for governance process management for active projects, including management of project tollgates and change control processes, working with PM’s and project members to secure all necessary approvals and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Works with multiple stakeholders globally including senior management, Global HRIS team, external partners/vendors, and Hitachi companies.
  • Manage project coordinators/leads.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor or equivalent education required related to HR, IT, or Information Systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT or HRIS field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management/PMO.
  • Experience managing people directly or indirectly.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools and automation.
  • Experience working on cross-functional projects in a global environment.
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of stakeholders including senior management.
  • Ability to manage projects and drive to completion.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-learner.
  • Microsoft office skills including Access, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage confidential data.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time both domestic and international.
