We are currently recruiting for a Control Room Manager to be based in Swindon. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the ongoing management of the Hitachi control room operations and support teams located in the operational control room.
Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:
Adherence and management of the train performance regime.
Delivery and conception of the maintenance plan and associated requirements in connection with the relevant maintenance depots
Availability of train fleet and utilisation of spare trains.
Management of in-service provisions and faults including advice to the customer.
Capturing in service maintenance requirements from the operational fleet.
Recording and management and train re-allocation to depot with regards to damage, vandalism.
Access and maintenance of records to include control room logs, maintenance management system and remote train diagnostics.
Monitoring the fleet in service to ensure limited impact on the customer passenger operation, daily train maintenance and servicing plans.
Point of contract for Consultation, Allocation and Disputes with regards to the train service as necessary
Recording of KPI failures on KPI scorecards though the associated I.T. Systems and control room log
Co-operation with operator's performance improvement plans.
Sound knowledge of, and compliance to rules and regulations
Able to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all times
Good team worker and able to build relationship with other stakeholders
Capably of working in stressful environments for long periods of time
Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Equinox
Previous experience of using Genius, Trust, P2, is desirable but not essential
Previous experience of working in operational railway control rooms would be advantageous
