Your new role
We are currently recruiting for a CCTV Technician based at our North Pole Train Maintenance Centre in West London. This role is on a fixed term contract basis.
Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:
Maintain the condition of the work site, materials and equipment
Adhere to health, safety, environmental & quality practices in the workplace
Prepare for and undertake planned and unplanned maintenance activities
Prepare for and undertake the removal and replacement of CCTV equipment from rolling stock
Ensure the CCTV viewing station located at LNP is kept organised and tidy at all times
Support reliability technicians with regards to obtaining CCTV evidence for investigations
Provide operational support to users of Hitachi rolling stock assets
Keep SAP record system up to date with clear and concise information of work carried out.
Develop professionally and support good working relationships across the depot teams.
Liaise with customer CCTV viewing team for investigations.
React to customer requirements for CCTV retrieval at short notice.
Learn new skills in accordance with Hitachi’s new business demands as required
Liaison with Hitachi and external personnel as required to complete the duties of the post
Experience working in a maintenance or rolling stock environment.
Stock-Specific maintenance and faulting
M & E or served apprenticeship with mechanical, electrical disciplines
Engineering based NVQ level 3
Sound knowledge of, and compliance to, rules and regulations
Able to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all times
Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel
