Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Requirement Project Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia

Accountabilities
  • Stakeholder's requirements gathering, analysis, elicitation and allocation
  • Requirement management project database configuration and management
  • Project Engineer support for requirements management purpose during all project life cycle
  • System Engineering support for requirements development respecting traceability
  • Design and development of automatic procedure in order to make more efficient and speed up some time consuming operations
  • Requirement Management Plan (RMP) customization for specific project needs
  • Ensure the respect of requirements engineering process during all project life cycle
  • Requirements KPIs analysis


Job requirements
Required Skills/ Knowledge
  • Knowledge in Requirement Management discipline
  • Knowledge of the IBM DOORS tool
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office software package (Word, Excel, Project, Visio)
  • Knowledge Model Based System Engineering methodologies
  • Knowledge of semiformal languages for software modeling (UML) and/or SysML for systems modelling
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical customer specification
  • Planning and organization
  • System requirements definition
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
  • Knowledge of the IBM RPE tool
  • Self-management on own work activities
  • Problem solving capability
  • Team working capability
  • At least 2 years of experience in similar positions is a preferential title
  • Basic working knowledge of Rail Transit Subsystem.
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement scripts written in various scripting languages (DXL, VBA)
  • PE skills will be a plus
Education / Qualifications

Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/Associate Degree or equivalent technical background.
