Job description
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Testing Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Napoli, Italy.

Accountabilities
  • Tests on the vibrating table
  • Shock tests
  • Tests in the acoustic chamber
  • Electromagnetic compatibility tests
  • Noise / vibration / EMC measurements at the site and on the external site
  • Calibration of test equipment
  • Requirement analysis
  • Development of test documentation
  • Development of calculation and simulation models of EM fields in railway vehicles
  • Development of railway research activities


Job requirements
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
  • Previous experience in Testing
  • Good knowledge at least in one of Noise, Vibration, EMC issues
  • Good knowledge of EMC simulation models
  • Good knowledge of signal processing techniques
  • Knowledge of sw and methods for EMF calculation .
  • Good knowledge of laboratory equipment
  • Good knowledge of laboratory quality standards
  • Good knowledge of measurement techniques/methods and data management
  • Good knowledge of the Office environment
  • Fundamentals of electronic circuits
  • Basic working knowledge of Railway sector
  • Basic understanding of software configuration managements
  • Basic working knowledge of the Linux or UNIX operating system
  • Manage and lead assigned resources and suppliers in order to perform the tests and troubleshooting activities
  • Validation and Verification Processes
Education / Qualifications

Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication, Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics or similar Degree or equivalent technical background.
