Senior Project Planner

Job Description
Hitachi Rail STS is looking for a passionate Senior Project Planner, who is driven to exceed expectations in an international environment. Do you want to be a part of prestigious projects whose outcome will affect a lot of people every day? Then the role as Senior Project Planner at Hitachi Rail STS might be something for you! The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
You are experienced in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Project Controls , working with a team to deliver a program . You should be able to work alone following the program procedures with minimal oversight on small and medium projects. Understands Change Management Processes and can help assist with change management on the projects. Coordinates and facilitates Project Integrated Planning Sessions. You should have knowledge in scheduling practices and you will be responsible for project schedule development and for schedule updates and reporting and in schedule forecasting techniques and project WBS setup. We want you to be experienced in Scheduling software as Primavera P6 and in Excel (at minimum knows data summation and a graphing techniques).

Technical Experience
  • 5 years or more experience
  • Experienced in working with Railways projects is a plus
  • Knows Cost Practices is a plus
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with others (verbally, written and meetings).
  • Computer based Project Management Planning experience (especially utilizing Primavera P6), MS Project and in Excel (at minimum knows data summation and a graphing techniques).
  • Ability to apply Critical Path Method planning techniques to develop detail Engineering and Installation Project networks and schedules
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with safe workplace practices and duty of care.
