Our recent expansion has afforded us a unique opportunity to look for a strategic, dynamic, and forward-thinking Accounting Coordinator looking to “shift gears” and join the team in our Monroe, GA facility. As a valued member of the Financial & Accounting Team, the Accounting Assistant is an entry level accounting position which will evolve into a Staff Accountant position once incumbent meets requirements.  This position’s primary responsibility will be to assist the accounting department both day-to-day as well as at month end

 

Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities: 

 

  1. Organize and file documents according to established procedure.

  2. Prepare filing systems in prescribed format.

  3. Support month end closing activities

  4. Perform/ support SOX testing

  5. Serve as the backup to Accounts Payable as needed

  6. Serve as the backup to Payroll as needed

  7. Perform data entry as needed.

  8. Perform special projects as directed, and prepare reports and analyses as appropriate.

  9. Comply with Internal Control measures in all financial activities.

  10. Support and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards through compliance, improvement and preventive measures.

  11. Interact with other Accounting personnel on a daily basis and assist on special projects.

  12. Perform related tasks as required or assigned.

  13. Support and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards (QMS, SHEMS, 6S, TS, etc.) through compliance, improvement and preventive measures.

  14. Perform related tasks as needed or required.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualified Applicants will possess the following: 

  • High school diploma and pursuing a 4-ry college degree in Accounting or other Business program.
  • Computer proficiency with MS software and expertise in Excel

Working Conditions:

Pleasant office environment, primarily; moderately loud manufacturing environment, secondary.

 

Physical Requirements:

Major portion of schedule is spent sitting, using hands to keyboard, write, and handling files and documents.  Clear and distinct speaking voice and hearing clear enough for understanding are required.  Moving about facility, standing to file and some stair climbing may be required. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception are required.  Lifting limited to no more than 25 lbs.
