Job purpose

•-nbsp; Lead the technical Pre-Sales strategy and function across Australia and New Zealand to support the sales effort and alignment between pre-sales and sales organizations; and

•-nbsp; Support the sales objectives of the Australia and New Zealand organisation by managing and directing pre-sales resources and activities across the business and through the effective management of a professional pre-sales team.

•-nbsp; Support the sales strategy in Australia and New Zealand by aligning Hitachi Vantara products and solutions to market opportunity.




•-nbsp; Develop a Pre-Sales strategy aligned to the local market dynamics, Hitachi Vantara products and solutions, Sales Strategy, Partner Strategy to support the sales objectives

•-nbsp; Identify and develop critical skill and capability to articulate, differentiate, and demonstrate how to implement the fundamental value propositions of Hitachi Vantara products and solutions;

•-nbsp; Develop and manage all aspects of pre-sales support, including mentoring staff, monitoring performance, evaluating skill levels, and providing constructive feedback to build technical capability across the Hitachi Vantara products and solutions;

•-nbsp; Establish resource plans in accordance with budgetary constraints and determining factors that may impact the business by assessing market trends (both local and international) and the introduction of new products and solutions;

•-nbsp; Establish efficiencies through the design and implementation of effective common policy and process;

•-nbsp; Maintain the technical health of named accounts and channel partners;

•-nbsp; Work as a recognized authority in the field, providing advice and coordinating the resolution of technical issues, along with maintaining competitive differentiation knowledge;

•-nbsp; Work closely with Sales Directors to consult with prospective customers during the sales process and participating in sales campaigns as required;

•-nbsp; Create detailed competitive knowledge and strategies against competitive offerings;

•-nbsp; Act as a facilitator and conduit for Hitachi Vantara product and solution escalation to the regional and corporate product and engineering teams.

•-nbsp; Maintain and develop a high performing presales team including the coordination of recruitment, career and development opportunities, performance reviews and assessment, recognition and reward. Providing effective coaching and feedback to direct (and indirect) reports to achieve and exceed their objectives.


Knowledge (formal education and beyond)

•-nbsp; 15+ years of related technical experience coupled with extensive and strong management and leadership experience;

•-nbsp; Relevant tertiary qualifications highly desirable;

•-nbsp; Public relations experience highly desirable;

•-nbsp; Experience working effectively at the "C" level;

•-nbsp; Sound financial business acumen.


Skills (worked related competencies both technical and non- technical)

•-nbsp; Expert analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills;

•-nbsp; Highly specialized and extensive expertise in relevant technological environments, often a technical resource on a national level;

•-nbsp; Excellent communications skills and the ability to tailor presentations according to the needs and varying levels of technical understanding of different audiences;

•-nbsp; Strong technical background in IT infrastructure and high-level product and solution knowledge within all Hitachi Vantara products and solutions

•-nbsp; Developing and Leveraging Relationships - builds strong internal and external relationships and is effectively able to use them to achieve business outcomes;

•-nbsp; Communication - communicates passion and energy, is highly articulate, makes arguments in a compelling manner;

•-nbsp; Building Teams - Engages the team through his / her enthusiasm, delegates significant responsibility to team members and holds them accountable, seeks mentoring opportunities, gets personally and actively involved in sourcing, selecting, developing and retaining top talent for key positions.

•-nbsp; Operates with the highest integrity and effectively role models and upholds our Company Values, the Hitachi Spirit.
