The Role

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support our people initiatives for select corporate functions and business teams across the company. The HRBP will need to build trusted partnerships with mid-level leaders and front-line employees, love working with people, and be passionate about creating a positive work environment. The right candidate will be willing to roll their sleeves up and ensure the accurate completion of multiple administrative duties, which require a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle completing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The HRBP will collaborate with our HR COEs (Recruiting, Total Rewards, Talent Management, HR Analytics, HR Shared Services) and with HRBPs around the world to achieve our business and strategic HR objectives. Must have cultural awareness and sensitivity to differences with a focus on internal customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Support project work related to business planning and HR delivery, including creating and analyzing data and metrics related to talent, compensation, employee engagement, diversity, performance management, exit interviews/analysis etc
  • Assist with programs related to re-organization, organizational design and change management
  • Conduct monthly data accuracy audits and make updates in HRIS
  • Support annual talent reviews and succession planning efforts for client groups
  • Conduct investigations and manage employee relations efforts as needed
  • Coach/counsel leaders and manage performance improvement plans for assigned groups
  • Manage open job requisition details, reporting and approval flow
  • Provide personalized onboarding for new people leaders

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in HR Business Partnering role
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong planning, quality control and demonstrated execution skills
  • Autonomous and organized with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communicator; ability to modify approach based on audience, bring clarity to situations and facilitate difficult conversations with clients
  • Proactive problem-solver who collaborates successfully with stakeholders
  • Confident team player, not afraid to voice opinions and offer creative solutions or process improvements
  • Working knowledge of HR laws, practices, policies and models
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Workday preferred but not required
