Our recent expansion has afforded us a unique opportunity for a strategic, dynamic, and forward-thinking Manufacturing Engineer looking to “shift gears” and join the team in our Monroe, GA facility. Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities:
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
Create manning plans based on volume forecasts for new programs.
Gives input to product design based on design for manufacture/design for assembly philosophy.
Coordinate and document all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
Calculate required dunnage usage. Design, test and order all necessary dunnage for new programs.
Develop and maintain documentation such as downtime, scrap, and efficiencies.
Utilize data such as downtime, scrap, efficiencies, etc. to plan and strategize countermeasures for equipment and process problems.
Leads or participates in Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement in processes, products, components, raw materials, and equipment.
Qualified Applicants will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with five (5) years Engineering experience. Experience in automotive manufacturing industry is preferred.
Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
Problem analysis and problem resolution.
Familiarity with current automotive standard and OSHA regulations.
Required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs.
Combination of office and plant environment. May be required to use safety glasses and wear steel toe shoes while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas.
